Along with the chef competition, there will be food from over 20 local restaurants and world-renowned speed painter Martina Hahn and an auction with prizes including a private dinner for six by Brunori, a timeshare in Branson, Missouri and a week driving a new Cadillac.

This event is a fundraiser for Fenton Center of Hope, a nonprofit organization that offers a food pantry and baby closet.

On Saturday, April 22nd Linden High School will be hosting it’s fifth annual Empty Bowls event to support the families in the community. The event combines student art and a fundraiser to help those in need.

Come check out the Art Fair at Linden High school, hear great music performed by the students as you peruse the student’s art pieces. Buy a bowl from the collection of hand made and decorated clay bowls created by students and staff for $15 and receive a complimentary lunch provided by The Laundry and Crust!

The event is taking place from 12-2pm. Come on out and enjoy art, music and great food and contribute to a worthy cause.

Real estate inventories continue to be low relative to demand. As of Wednesday April 5th, there were only 148 homes available on the market for all three school districts. Given the fact that over a thousand homes were sold in those districts last year – according to the East Central Association of Realtors – that is a very small inventory indeed.

For those who are house hunting right now, it is common to see multiple offers on attractive homes that are reasonably priced. We recently had a small home we listed in Fenton on a Friday afternoon. We had 12 showings scheduled by the next day and 18 parties through our open house on Sunday. On Monday, we presented 6 offers to our client!
